On 21 May, a meeting for the development of the Indonesian new capital Nusantara was held in Hiroshima, with attendance of H.E. Joko Widodo, the President of Indonesia, who came to Japan for the G7 Summit. Chairman of the JASE-W Planning Committee Mr Aoyama attended the meeting and a letter outlining JASE-W and its promoting projects in Indonesia and its potential for contributing to the development of the new capital city was handed to the Indonesian side.

On September 24, 2021, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) published the technical specification for ZEB as TS23764, which the ZEB Solution WG of JASE-W has promoted. The "Water Technology Working Group" has been established in the JASE-W. The WG will work to promote the overseas deployment of Japan's renowned water treatment and water infrastructure technologies and equipment, with the goal of achieving energy conservation, carbon neutrality, pollution prevention, and clean water supply.
